Hiding Images In Chrome With ChromeImgHider

I wrote a quick little Chrome extension a few weeks ago and it’s been working pretty well for me so far. My cousin Jasper convinced me to publish it on GitHub, so I did. You can find it here: https://github.com/alexmason81/ChromeImgHider

I haven’t published it to Google Play yet, mostly because it’s so basic and I know people are pretty fickle and I’m not really interested in fielding a bunch of complaints. Perhaps I’ll get around to that at some point though if there is enough interest from people I know.

If you’re interested in creating your own Chrome Extension, check out these articles/posts/what-have-you here:

Have a great day!

Website Alignment Issues

Firebug Extension for Firefox

It has come to my attention that my template’s alignment is not quite right when displayed in certain browsers. Anything but Firefox to be specific.

I will take a look at the CSS and HTML and try to find the problem when I can get to a proper computer (I’m on my iPhone right now). In the meantime I thought this might be a good time to mention a handy tool for anyone who is interested in web design/development. Perhaps you have heard of it before, but perhaps not. (it’s also another great reason to use Firefox as your primary browser).

Firefox has an awesome addon called “Firebug” which allows you to do a lot of amazing things when testing, modifying, creating, and etc. I will try to devote a proper post to it at a later time. Unfortunately right now my son is throwing a fit and I must tend to him.

So if you are viewing my site in IE, Chrome, Safari, Opera, or anything other than Firefox, please be patient, I will fix the display bug as soon as possible. In the mean time check out Firefox and the firebug addon!

Prototype vs. jQuery

I always used to code my own AJAX functions, but it is becoming apparent that I need a more efficient framework since I will be developing websites on a regular basis now.

I did some research and it seems that Prototype and jQuery are two of the more popular frameworks.

After reading this and this, I think Prototype is going to fit my needs better, though they both look promising.

Project HH

My first official paid project is underway! At this time I am not at liberty to give out too many details, but I will update with more info when I am able.

What I can say is that I am very excited about this project an eager to get the ball rolling. I already submitted some template ideas and some page-flow ideas for approval.
