Harry Potter and the Free Audible Books

My sister has been trying to get me to read the Harry Potter series for ages now, but I have to admit I just never got around to it. I haven’t even seen the movies (well, like 20 min of the 3rd one).

I’ve never been much of a reader. Perhaps I have ADHD or some other issue, but I cannot seem to focus on what I read. My mind wanders as I get into the book, visualizing what I read and often imagining beyond what I’m reading to what may happen or other thoughts I have about the world of the book. I end up finding myself 5 pages in and remembering only the first 3 paragraphs. So then I go back and re-read. Rinse and repeat. It’s a struggle.

So I’ve turned to Audio Books as my way of “reading” and it works out great for me. I can listen to the narration and imagine what is being described my mind seems to stay on target as the audio acts as the guide.

Perhaps you’re like me when it comes to reading. Perhaps you have already found the joy of audio books. If so, **High Five**! If not, let me take this opportunity to offer you an Audible Free Trial.

With the free trial you get 2 free audio books and some other cool stuff.

The free trial only works if you are not currently an Audible member, sorry.

Here is the link to all the Harry Potter Audible Books!

So, Nicole, it looks like I’m finally going to “read” that Harry Potter series you’ve been trying to get me into… Right after I finish listening to my current Brandon Sanderson book. 😉

Take care and happy reading/listening!

Open Source Collaboration FTW!

Collabtive

I came across an article about an open source collaborative webapp and decided to check it out. I have been looking into project management and collaboration tools for a few months now, but none of them seem to have the features I want/need for the price I can currently afford… I will be downloading this and giving it a test run very soon!
